Movers in Reseda

Reseda is a west-central San Fernando Valley neighborhood of Los Angeles. Here is what to plan for when you move there, from Kobe Moving in Van Nuys.

About Reseda

Reseda runs from Roscoe Boulevard south to Victory Boulevard, and from White Oak Avenue west to Corbin Avenue, with Northridge to the north, Lake Balboa to the east and Tarzana, Encino and Woodland Hills to the south. Its business district started at Reseda Boulevard and Sherman Way, and that crossing is still the center.

Much of Reseda was built as ranch land was divided for returning World War II veterans, so many streets are single-story tract homes. Apartment buildings line the boulevards, and Reseda Park with its lake sits near the middle.

Local moving notes

  1. Tract homesMost homes are single story with a driveway. The work is in the contents, so list every large piece, including the garage.
  2. Boulevard apartmentsBuildings on Reseda Boulevard, Sherman Way and Victory rarely have a loading zone. Side streets are better for the truck.
  3. Rush-hour parkingSome boulevard blocks have posted rush-hour limits. Read the signs on your block a few days ahead.
  4. Short west Valley movesMoves to Lake Balboa, Winnetka or Tarzana are short drives, so a packed and labeled home saves the most time.

From our Van Nuys base, Reseda is straight west, across Lake Balboa on Sherman Way or Victory.
