Movers in North Hollywood
North Hollywood is a San Fernando Valley neighborhood in the City of Los Angeles. Here is what to plan for when you move there, from Kobe Moving in Van Nuys.
Moving in North Hollywood
North Hollywood, or NoHo, is centered on Lankershim and Magnolia Boulevards and the NoHo Arts District. The North Hollywood Metro station, where the B Line (Red) and G Line meet, has drawn a wave of newer apartment buildings around it, while the surrounding streets are full of older apartment buildings and small houses.
That mix means two very different kinds of move: a newer building with a loading dock, a freight elevator and strict time slots, or an older walk-up where the crew carries everything up and down the stairs.
From our Van Nuys base, North Hollywood is a short drive east along Victory or Burbank Boulevard, or by the 170.
What to plan for in North Hollywood
New buildings near the Metro station
Newer buildings usually require a reserved move time, a freight elevator booking and often a certificate of insurance from the mover. Get the rules from leasing as soon as you sign.
Older walk-up apartments
Two and three story buildings with outside stairs are common. Tell us your floor and whether there is a long walk from the street to your door.
Busy streets in the Arts District
Lankershim and Magnolia get busy, and street parking near the Arts District is limited. Plan a loading spot ahead of time, especially on weekends.
Moves across the Valley
North Hollywood connects to the rest of the Valley by the 170 and the 101, which makes moves to Van Nuys, Burbank and Studio City short drives.

North Hollywood moving questions
My new NoHo building needs a certificate of insurance. Can that be arranged?
Send the building's requirements or the leasing office contact when you request a quote, so it can be handled before move day.
Is a third-floor walk-up much longer to move?
Stairs add time, and the amount depends on the number of flights and the size of the furniture. Put the floor and the stairs on the quote form so the estimate includes them.
